  • Do not do any microdermabrasion, chemical peels, or use any topical skin care products containing AHAs (glycolic acid, mandelic acid, lactic acid...), BHA (salicylic acid), PHA (polyhydroxy acid or gluconolactone), or retinoids (adapalene, tretinoin, retinols, retinaldehyde...) on or near your brows 4 weeks before your procedure. It’s strongly recommended that you avoid using aforementioned products on and near your brows after the procedure, as they can prematurely fade or alter the pigment.

PRE / POST CARE

BROWS

What to expect after your Brow treatment:

Immediately after the procedure, your brows will appear very dark and bold. Do not be alarmed. It’s completely normal! The pigment takes around 7 days to settle in the deeper layer of the skin. After the 2-week “peeling” period, they will become much softer and more natural as the skin renews itself. It takes a full 4 weeks for a complete healing process, during which itching may occur - it’s a good sign! Just make sure to follow our aftercare guideline (below).

Eyebrow Aftercare
We truly want you to be in love with the results, so make sure you follow the instructions to the t! Failure to do so can lead to discoloration, pigment loss, and/or infections.

Healing process and results will always vary depending on each individual’s lifestyle, diet, skincare regime, medication and so on. Touch-ups are strongly recommended in order to best maintain the vibrancy of the brows. Some may experience longer peeling time (14+ days). No worries. Good things take time! Certain skin types (oily/combo skin) may experience up to 30-50% of fading which is normal. It simply means your skin is very resilient to the pigment.

  • Do Not get the brows wet during the healing process for 7 days.

  • Do Not put anything (water, make-up, lotions Oil etc….) on the brows for 7-14 days.

  • Do Not sweat for 7-14 days - this is may be difficult for those who love to work out, but body heat expands the pores. Sweat has salt and will cause fading of the brows or pigment loss.

  • If you are still peeling after the 7-14 days still follow all instructions until peeling is complete.

  • Apply A&D ointment to the brows with the micro swab brush when needed after 48 hours. Gently when applying the ointment so that you don’t scrape the scabs off. Apply 2 times a day.

  • Do Not scrub, rub, or pick at the scab/crust that forms. Allow it to flake off naturally. If its removed early, there will be pigment loss.

  • Do Not use any Retin-A or Glycolic Acids in the brow area during or after healing, this will cause discoloration/pigment loss.

  • No tanning; self tanner is ok but not on the brows.

  • Try not to sleep on your face while healing

  • After 7 days, do not drink alcohol, eat irritating foods such as peppers, (avoid smudging or changing color)

Do NOT expose the skin to sunlight, tanning treatments, jacuzzi, sauna, salt water, For7Day.

LIPS

Please come in with your lips fully moisturized and protected. If there are any dry flakes, cracks, pimples or any kind of wounds on and around your lips, please reschedule at least 72 hours before your appointment.

How to keep your lips moisturized and supple? You can start using lip exfoliators a week prior to your procedure. However, avoid over exfoliating and damaging your skin. DIY lip scrub with vaseline and sugar can do the trick! Follow up with highly emollient products like Aquaphor can also help soften and moisturize them.

Cold sores are a risk of lip blush tattoos. If you have had cold sores in the past - we strongly advise you to go to your doctor for an antiviral medication prior to any lip procedure, to help avoid an outbreak. Even if you have not had a cold sore before - it is recommended to take L-lysine 2 weeks before and after the appointment to reduce the risk.

After your lip blush appointment:

  • Lips will become swollen and dry after the treatment, so it’s important to apply ointment liberally but gently several times a day for at least 2-3 weeks. Allowing lips to dry out will interfere with healing and the color.

  • To reduce risk of infection, use clean Q-tips to apply the ointment.

  • Avoid friction, touching or applying unnecessary pressure on affected areas.

  • Redness, swelling, tenderness, and dryness are all common side effects but they will dissipate in no time when properly taken care of.

  • Lips will heal in stages which takes about one month as the color changes.

  • As part of the healing process, it’s normal for lips to get flaky once they are no longer tender to the touch. DO NOT pick at or peel them. It will significantly lessen the amount of pigment absorption.

  • Avoid oily, acidic, salty, or alcoholic food and drinks during the healing process.

  • Avoid using AHAs, BHA, PHA, enzymes and fruit acid products on and around the lips during the healing process.
